If specific tractor’s model year is after 1975 but the tractor model was produced in 1975 or prior, specific tractor is eligible to pull (for example, pull participant wishes to pull a 1976 International Harvester Model 1066. Because the 1066 model tractor was produced from 1972 to 1976, the tractor is allowed to pull.).

WHAT IF THE SCALES WEIGH HEAVY?
If scales are showing more weight than the tractor actually weights it can cause the driver to remove weight that can cause the tractor to be unstable for sled setup causing it to be less safe. Also it can eliminate tractors from the class that don't have the 200 to spare.
Usually the fix is to weigh a tractor that has a known weight and have the scale operator allow for the difference for each puller plus any allowence if any (usually 50lbs.) Also have the announcer inform the pullers in each class of the allowable scale reading.
Example if test tractor has a known weight of 4,500lbs and the scale shows its weight at 4,700lbs, the allowable weight would be 4,700 for the 4,500lb class. If the club is allowing a 50lb variance then 4,750 would be the max.
THE ANNOUNCER AND SCALE OPERATOR SHOULD INFORM THE PULLERS FOR EACH CLASS OF THE 200 POUND CORRECTION.
WHAT IF THE SCALES ARE READING LIGHT?
If the scales are showing a known 4,500lb tractor weight to be light 200lbs (4,300), usually the fix is the scale operator will add 200lbs to actual scale reading. If the club is allowing a 50lb varience then 4,350 would be the max for the 4,500lb class.
THE ANNOUNCER AND SCALE OPERATOR SHOULD INFORM THE PULLERS FOR EACH CLASS OF THE 200 POUND CORRECTION.
Example if test tractor has a known weight of 4,500lbs and the scale shows its weight at 4,300lbs, the allowable weight would be 4,300 for the 4,500lb class. If the club is allowing a 50lb variance then 4,350 would be the max.
